Massive cuts in Everest expedition royalty fee from 2015
It is good News for Trekking in Nepal and mountaineering in Nepal because Government of Nepal announces the 50 % discount on royalty to climb the Mount Everest 8848m via normal south East Ridge from the beginning of New Year 2015 for foreigner. Among the 1793 peaks of Himalayas Nepal, climbing allowed 326 mountains royalty also significantly cuts down.
From the spring season all mountaineer from around the world get the climbing permit fee in USD $11000 only. Earlier, the fee was $25,000 per person to get the mountaineering permit; similarly, $10,000 has been fixed as cost for a climber to access Mt Everest from any other route.
