Sailung trekking is the unexplored trekking destination of Nepal. Sailung trekking is less crowded trekking destination of Nepal. Sailung is located in the Eastern part of Nepal; Sailung trek is named after hundred smaller hills, there are one hundred smaller hills are surrounding with Sailung so the name is given Sailung in Nepaliword Sai mean hundred Lung mean windy hill. Sailung trek takes you to Thulo Sailung (3100 m), it is a view point of vast Himalayan range from Makalu to Dhaulagiri. Beside that you can get the opportunity to see the plain region of Nepal as well as the world’s highest peak Mt. Everest (8848 m). Sailung trekking offers magnificent views of eastern part of Himalayas of Nepal and encounter with several different ethnic people such as Sherpa, Bramin, Chhetri , Gurung ,Magar, pahari , Maghhi , sarki , Damai etc and interesting experience about socio-economic situation, life style and their professions. Specially, people like this area very much who are interested to visit to the non-tourist area for the nature and culture.

Sailung is situated at an elevation about 3200 meters above sea level. Sailung is a famous Hindu pilgrimage of Nepal. Sailung trekking is non touristy trekking trail offers a combination of rich cultural heritage, unsurpassed beauty and biological diversity. Sailung trekking journey starts from dolakha, Lamche Pokhari and ends at Namobuddha then drive back to Kathmandu.
Sailung has a unique environment and is exceptionally rich in bio-diversity which makes this region one of the finest tourist destinations in Nepal. For Sailung trek it is not necessary any previous hiking and trekking experience, just normal walking experience is enough for Sailung trekking. Best season for Kalinchowk trek is February to May and August to November. Sailung trekking operates in camping basic only.
