The Royal trek – Annapurna Skyline short treks Nepal
The Royal trek is to the north of Pokhara valley and goes through the foothills of Annapurna. This is one of the shortest treks in Nepal and those who take up Royal trek get the opportunity to experience the diverse cultures of people who have inhabited here. In 1981, Prince Charles and his 90 member entourage explored this place and after that it was named as Royal trek. Since the trekking area of Royal trek is less crowded when compared to other treks of the Annapurna region, trekkers can view the nature; explore the culture and lifestyle of the villagers more comfortably and more closely.
The Royal trek begins in an off-the-beaten track in the mid-Himalayas which is isolated and away from the modern world. Annapurna Royal trekking route is less crowded, so travelers can get more close to nature, culture and lifestyle of folks. The Royal trekking offers a highly enjoyable trip through the Himalayan foot hills during trekking period. Though it is not a long expedition of the Himalayas unlike the other treks, the Royal trek is highly enjoyable.
Panoramic views of the Pokhara valley, the ethnic villages with diverse culture, the northern Annapurna range and the forests of magnolia and rhododendron are the outstanding features of this trek. The trekkers get a true picture of the unique lifestyle and traditions of the tribes that are not changed for thousands of years.
The spectacular lake city of Pokhara, Bijaypur Khola is the beginning place of the Royal trek. The trek trail passes through the enchanting villages. Apart from the beautiful rice terraces on the hillside the trekkers get stunning views of the Annapurna I, II, III and IV, Lamjung, Dhaulagiri and Fishtail. The Royal trek ends at the beautiful Begnas Lake. From the Begnas lake Pokhara city is 30 km away.
The Royal trekking 4 days is an ideal for the novice trekkers and for those who have only limited time at their disposal. This trekking offers the opportunity to know about Nepal from its tropical south to north. Best months of the year for this trek are April, May, October and November but it can be organize year round.
Royal trek itinerary
Day 01: Welcome to Nepal, upon your arrival our representative welcome and assists to transfer in hotel.
Day 02: Kathmandu sightseeing and preparation for Royal trek.
Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara (820m).
Day 04: Drive to Vijayapur Khola then trek to Kalikasthan.
Day 05: Trek from Kalikasthan to Syaklung (1100m).
Day 06: Trek from Syaklung to Chisapani
Day 07: Trek from Chisapani to Begnas Tal then drive to Pokhara.
Day 08: Drive to Kathmandu evening farewell dinner.
Day 09: After this amazing Royal trek if you are interested for other activities like Safari, Rafting, Biking, Tours, Peak climbing or more trekking in other region we organize trip according to your desire. If you decide to leave Nepal we will transfer to airport for your onward destination.
